Rebecca ( Becky ) Ewing

Born In Havana Cuba under a Communist Government, I have learned to Love and Respect This Magnificent Country ! My parents were both Preachers and Bible school teachers or The Nazarene Church. With the Help of the church were were able to leave Cuba in 1967 and Move to Spain. We lived in Spain for almost a Year. I went to Kindergarten in Cuba and in Spain and again in The US!
From Spain we flew to New York. I will never forget flying into New York and seeing so many people all speaking English and we could not understand a single word. Back then Spansih was not as common as it is today. My dad could only say Hot Dogs when he ordered at a Restaurant, WE were so sick of Hot Dogs. One day we was bound and determined to order something different so he tried to describe to the waitress what he wanted. He was trying to describe a Hamburger ( well actually 6 of them) The Waitress brought him 6 Hot dogs instead...He was very frustrated. We then Moved to Demin New Mexico where my dad and mom pastored a church there. I have very cold memories of Demin New Mexico. It was cold and the house we lived in had no insulation and very little heat. I remember all of us sleeping in one double bed (6 of us) to stay warm.
From Demin we Moved to Yuma Arizona. We lived there 3 years. After there we Moved to LA California. I went to school there from 3 grade to 6th grade.
We then moved to Houston Texas...That is the state I call home. That is where I finished school and had my babies.
My dad and mom moved allot due to establishing churches then moving on once they were established.
I married my first husband at the young age of 17...totally clueless of life and marriage. I had two fab Kids...Kevin and Kim Tarver. My Husband (Ex now) Got transferred to Crossett Arkansas with the company he was working at. So we moved to Arkansas in 1982.
We later got a divorce and I moved to Russellville Arkansas in 1986 where I married my current husband James E Ewing.
We married and combined two families. He had Three boys and I had one boy and one girl.
Life then became very interesting and complicated to say the least.
At the time I was not

Long time no post

Sorry everyone, I have been up to my ears in work. Computer problems and Launching our New gift card program. OH MY what a mess. I got the bright idea that I did not want to pay any processing company 25 cents every time a customer swiped their gift cards. Well you think that if they have a gift card and use it to rent a movie for 1.99 and I pay these idiots 25 cents to sell the card and 25 cents every time you swipe it, I am loosing money. Well I decided to do my own program, cards, and go solo on the entire thing. NOW I KNOW why they charge 25 cents a swipe. IT IS A PAIN IN THE RUMP to say the least. OH well the worse is over and I should be operating new gift cards by Friday. I think after it is all said and done, It might be worth it in the long run. Okay enough about my ranting and raving.
I am getting my new car today, and I am so excited I feel like a little kid. Well actually I still am.... I hope everyone is doing good, I will post Thanksgiving pictures tonite, and of course of the new addition to the Ewing Clan, a 2007 G6 GTP Hardtop convertible, YES IT IS RED!!
Take care till next post

Fortsmith Arkansas

I had the privilege of spending the night with Kim and AV on Saturday and Sunday. We Put or actually they put the baby changing table together and we went shopping for a baby bed. We went shopping to Wal-mart at 1 am and then went to taco bell, We finally called it a night at 3:30am boy were we tired. I really enjoyed getting to spend time with them.
Jr, David & Jon were in the deer woods for the weekend. They came home briefly on Monday with 3 deer. They left again Tuesday afternoon and will return on Saturday. They are excited AV will be joining them Thursday. Jr just called and said they had the laptop plugged into the generator and were watching DVDs and they used the Tuner for the Laptop and directed the sound from the movies through the truck, so they had a complete surround sound in the woods in the middle of now where and watched movies. Do you think the Deer will even come near all that racket? I thought this was pretty funny, I think they go to the deer woods to eat, and watch movies. How fun. The guys really miss Kevin and wish he was there to join them. Hopefully he will be able to hunt with them at Christmas.
Well till my next post! Oh I almost forgot Kendra and Derek made the Honor Roll and Derek won the award for the top 3 rd grader in the school. Christian also did really good. We are very proud of all the kids and how well they do in school.

Kierstyn and Amber in Arkansas

Wow, were we lucky to see Amber and Kierstyn. They came from Maryland to Russellville to have The baby's picture taken by the best photographer in the world at Ewing Photography. We went to La Huerta to eat Mexican, and then went to see Papaw, She went right to him like she just knew exactly who he was. She did not even cry and she has not seen him since she was 9 months old. Boy was he a proud grandpa. She played in the rings and had a blast outside chasing her shadow. We sure do miss her. We were so glad we got to see her.

Catching up Post

I am so sorry I have not posted in such a long time. As always more on my plate than I can eat. Let me start with the most past due post but yet one of the most important.
Christian Won his football season totally UNDEFEATED!! His last game was with another undefeated team. Now I know you all are thinking I am partial, But I promise I am quoting other Parents who said "we would have not won this game if Christian was not here" Another parent said..."Christian won this game for us. After the game was over, Christian was so overwhelmed with Joy he cried. Well Then David had tears in his eyes and I looked up at Jr and he had tears in his eyes. I thought OH MY this must be a man thing. Melanie and I were just amazed. We are so proud of him. We are very proud of his parents also, He is so lucky to have them, they really make us parents proud. Okay, Okay I am just a proud person...lol
I am proud of my entire family They are all the best. Here a some pictures of that night along with his trophy. He was also awarded later that week with the MVP Award. GO Christian.
Now he is in Basketball. Can't wait to see him play.
